Terms of Service

Welcome to Lounge in Between ("the Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our hourly lounge reservation service at loungeinbetween.org. By creating an account or making a reservation, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service allows you to reserve a private lounge space ("Lounge") by the hour. Reservations require a minimum of 4 hours and may extend past midnight into the following day. Access is unmanned: a door passcode is delivered automatically about 15 minutes before check-in via the channel you selected (app push, email, WhatsApp or SMS).

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate name, email and mobile phone information. Phone numbers are verified with a one-time code.
• You may also sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• The Service is not directed to children under 14. Guests under 19 may not use the Lounge without a legal guardian.

3. Reservations & Payment

• Prices are shown in Korean won (₩). Packages: 4 hours ₩55,000 · 5 hours ₩66,000 · each additional hour ₩16,500 (rates may change; the price shown at checkout applies).
• Payment is processed by our payment providers (PortOne/Eximbay for cards, PayPal). PayPal transactions are billed in USD at the rate shown at checkout; small differences may occur due to exchange rates.
• A reservation is confirmed only after payment is completed. You will receive a confirmation number (e.g. 202607070001).

4. Cancellation & Refunds

• More than 24 hours before check-in: 100% refund
• 12–24 hours before check-in: 50% refund
• Less than 12 hours before check-in, or no-show: no refund

Refunds are made to the original payment method. For PayPal payments, refunds are processed in USD; the refunded KRW value may differ slightly due to exchange rates. If the Service cancels your reservation for reasons attributable to us, you will receive a full refund.

5. Check-in, Door Passcode & House Rules

• The door passcode is personal to your reservation. Do not share it. Access outside your reserved hours is not permitted.
• The Lounge is located near a residential area — please keep noise to a minimum at all times.
• No smoking anywhere on the premises. No parties exceeding the stated capacity, no illegal activity, no pets unless expressly allowed.
• Please leave the space tidy. You are responsible for damage to the space or equipment caused by you or your guests.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, utility or network outages, actions of third parties). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Korean law, including our liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

7. Changes

We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes disadvantageous to members). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing Law & Language

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea. Translations of these Terms are provided for convenience; in case of conflict, the English version prevails.

Privacy Policy

Lounge in Between ("we") values your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea (PIPA) and related laws.

1. Data We Collect

• Account (required): name, email, mobile number with country code, password (stored as a one-way hash). For Google/Apple sign-in: the account identifier and email provided by that service.
• Reservation & payment: reservation details (room, time, amount), confirmation number, payment provider transaction ID, refund records. Card numbers are processed by the payment provider (PortOne/Eximbay, PayPal) and are never stored on our servers.
• Service use: notification channel preference, door passcode delivery records, inquiry history, access logs (IP, timestamps), language/theme cookies, app push token.

2. Why We Use It

• Providing reservations, payment, and automatic door passcode delivery (push/email/WhatsApp/SMS)
• Sending reservation confirmations, check-in/check-out notices, and responding to inquiries
• Preventing fraud and unauthorized access; complying with legal obligations

3. Retention

• Account data: until membership withdrawal (deleted or irreversibly anonymized upon withdrawal)
• Under the Korean E-Commerce Act: contract/payment records 5 years, consumer complaint/dispute records 3 years, display/advertising records 6 months
• Access logs under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act: 3 months

4. Processors & International Transfer

We entrust limited data to the following processors solely to operate the Service:

• Payments: PortOne/Eximbay (card), PayPal (USD payments)
• Messaging: Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business), SMS provider, email delivery
• Sign-in: Google LLC, Apple Inc. · Push notifications: Google Firebase (FCM)
• Hosting: Hostinger (server infrastructure)

Some providers process data outside Korea (e.g. Meta, PayPal, Google, Apple). Only the minimum data needed (e.g. phone number for WhatsApp delivery) is transferred, protected by each provider's safeguards.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it with third parties only with your consent or where required by law (e.g. lawful requests by authorities).

6. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. In My Page you can edit your profile, change notification settings, and delete your account. You may also contact the privacy officer above. Withdrawal of required consents may limit use of the Service.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for session login, language, and light/dark theme preference. You can block cookies in your browser, but login may not work without session cookies.

8. Security

Passwords are one-way hashed; access to personal data is limited to authorized administrators; transmission is encrypted (HTTPS); door passcodes are issued per reservation and rotated.

9. Children

The Service does not knowingly collect data from children under 14.

10. Changes

Changes to this policy will be announced on the site at least 7 days before taking effect. Translations are for convenience; the English version prevails.
